Ingredients

Dough:

  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 1 packet yeast
  • 1 egg
  • 4 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1 tsp salt

Filling:

  • 1 cup fresh cranberries (or dried)
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 2 tbsp orange juice
  • 1 tbsp orange zest
  • 3 tbsp butter, softened

Orange Glaze:

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2–3 tbsp orange juice

Equipment

  • Saucepan
  • Rolling pin
  • 9×13 baking dish

Instructions

  1. Make dough with milk, yeast, sugar, egg, butter, salt and flour. Rise 1 hour.
  2. Make cranberry filling by simmering cranberries and sugar until jammy.
  3. Roll dough, spread butter and cranberry filling.
  4. Roll and slice into 12 pieces.
  5. Bake at 350°F for 25 minutes.
  6. Drizzle with orange glaze.

Tips & Swaps

  • Add walnuts to the filling.
  • Use canned cranberry sauce if in a rush.

Optional Touch

Brush rolls with orange marmalade before glazing.
